MOSCOW, RUSSIA / RankWire.AI / – Russia’s non-resource and non-energy exports topped $96 billion in the first seven months of 2026. The total rose 8% from the same period a year earlier, according to First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. The category covers goods outside Russia’s traditional energy and raw-material exports. The latest data extend the growth recorded during the first half of the year and provide a broader measure of Russia’s manufactured and value-added sales abroad.

Russia non-energy exports rise 8% to over $96 billion
SME exporters contributed $15.9 billion to Russia’s non-resource trade through July 2026.

Small and midsize businesses contributed $15.9 billion to the January through July export total. That represented about 17% of all non-resource and non-energy exports during the period. Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov said roughly 42,700 small and midsize companies now take part in export activity. SMEs also submitted 1,042 of the 1,341 applications for the 2026 Exporter of the Year awards. Those applications came from 76 Russian regions across all eight federal districts.

Russia also reported $58.8 billion in industrial non-resource exports for January through June 2026. The comparable total for the first half of 2025 stood at $57.1 billion. That marked growth of about 3% for the industrial segment. Several manufacturing categories posted higher overseas sales during the period. The first-half data offer a more detailed view of the industries contributing to Russia’s broader non-resource and non-energy export total.

Manufacturing categories post higher foreign sales

Exports of chemical products increased 5.3% in the first half from a year earlier. Mineral and chemical fertilizer shipments rose 10.4% over the same six months. Metallurgy and precious metals exports gained 5%, while light industry recorded a 25% increase. Pharmaceutical, perfume and cosmetics exports advanced 11%. These figures cover industrial products counted within the country’s non-resource and non-energy export classification and compare January through June with the same period in 2025.

Russia has set a 2026 target of $155.25 billion for total non-resource and non-energy exports. Industrial goods account for $116.95 billion of that benchmark. Russia recorded $163.7 billion in this export category during 2025. The 2026 target therefore stands below last year’s recorded total. The benchmarks sit within the International Cooperation and Export national project, which covers manufactured goods, agricultural products and export support services across the country.

Long-term program sets 2030 export benchmark

The same national project sets a 2030 target of $248.1 billion for non-resource and non-energy merchandise exports. That goal represents a 67% increase from the 2023 baseline used by the program. Industrial goods account for $192.9 billion of the 2030 benchmark. The export support system also includes digital services for companies engaged in international trade. The program tracks growth across industrial and agricultural exports while measuring progress against the government’s established nominal targets.

The latest seven-month figures put Russia’s non-resource and non-energy exports above $96 billion, with SMEs responsible for $15.9 billion. First-half industrial exports reached $58.8 billion and showed gains across chemicals, fertilizers, metals, light industry and pharmaceutical-related goods. The confirmed export values use U.S. dollars. Russia’s full-year 2026 benchmark remains $155.25 billion for the wider non-resource category, including a separate $116.95 billion target for industrial goods.
